Project ZapCat prototype
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a short prototype for a game that I hope to work more on in the future. In this game, you play as 'Alicia Trouble Sayyah', a cat with the power to control electricity. The final game will contain about 6 worlds, ranging from a temple forest area, to an airport controlled by a grim reaper themed bounty hunter. This demo mainly exists to showcase the controls and general feel for the game.
Controls:
Arrow Keys: move left and right
Space: jump, hold to increase airtime.
Z: punches
Z (in air): uppercuts, can be used to increase jump height and width.
in v2.0
Down Key: Duck, makes you slide less
T: Activates experimental text/dialogue display system
Enter: Advances dialogue
D: Activates Debug mode
R: Resets to the beginning
in v2.5
Z+Z: initiates a second punch that deals slightly more damage
Z+Z+Z: initiates a spin attack that deals strong damage to enemies in front of and behind you.
Up Key: looks up
Down Key: Duck, makes you slide less, decreases your hitbox size, and looks down
G (while in debug mode): Activates NoClip mode, allowing you to fly and go through walls and enemies

Known Issues:
- No sprites for attacking while ducking yet.
- No sprites for looking up yet.
- All other sprites are placeholders and will be improved in the final product.
- No music or SFX yet, aside from in the Text System.
